Personal fitness has often been determined by merely measuring weight and body dimensions. But there is another important indicator of fitness level - Body Composition Analysis - which provides a method of finding your total percentage of body fat, a strong indicator of true fitness.

Bio-Electric Impedance Analysis (BIA) is a modern technique for measuring body fat which is simple, fast and accurate. BIA relies on the differences in electrical conductivity of biological tissues such as muscle and fat. With a tiny electrical signal applied at the palms of your hands, this conductivity is precisely measured and the percentage of body fat throughout the upper body can be computed.

As this technique has evolved, the convenience and accuracy of evaluating body fat has made BIA an important part of assessing your personal true fitness level. Once you know your body fat percentage (as opposed to simply your weight), it becomes much easier to evaluate dietary habits and determine a suitable course of exercise.
